Katharine Philippa writes earnest, searing songs and plays them on piano. KP has performed original music with The Ulster Orchestra and been aired on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 3.
Raised in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, they have since been active in Berlin, London, Dublin and Belfast: the place currently called home. Supporters include Tom Robinson, Huw Stephens and Tom Ravenscroft, with the latter involving KP in a curated bill in Belfast. Katharine Philippa's music is informed by electronica and soul but also references other genres studied during an Honours Degree in Music. A unique soundworld is created with a deep infusion of associations; it is charged with intense spirit.
