Born and raised in Lee County, North Carolina – an area where brick manufacturing, cotton and tobacco reign supreme – Josh Phillips captures the nostalgia of small town life, showcasing “unapologetically honest” (Whiskey Riff) lyrics throughout his music.
Josh began introducing himself to Country music fans playing clubs in his Tar Heel state, developing a steady following, before ultimately rolling the dice and moving to Music City. Now aligned with Big Machine Records, Josh is offering a preview of his gritty, boisterous sound and Carolina drawl, penning all five songs on his Lee County (The Acoustic Sessions EP). The songwriter/rocker’s live show is a force to be reckoned with, having performed alongside some of the genre’s top acts including Sam Hunt, Cole Swindell, Chris Janson and Lee Brice. Following coveted slots on major tours with Brantley Gilbert and Luke Combs, Josh will hit the road as direct support for Tyler Farr on select dates Spring 2019, kicking off March 1 in Chicago, IL at Joe’s on Weed St. For a full list of tour dates and more, visit JoshPhillipsMusic.com and follow him on Instagram.
