Luckily there were more congratulations than condolences and Pável Mora (keyboards, synths & vocals), Javier Torres (guitars, programming & back vocals) and David Romero (bass, programming & back vocals) did the only thing they could do: ask for three beers and a dish of “torreznos” in a nearby bar just to think about the new sounds they had in mind and the path the band should take.
With this glamour, 42 Buttons was born in January 2016.
Obviously, with those credentials, it was a matter of time that Francisco Vela (trombone) joined the band in the next months.
But, why 42? Well, maybe this was one of the deepest secrets of the band, but we can anticipate that it’s related to their electronically tinted sound. In agreement with the radio programme “Hoy En Madrid”, by Onda Madrid“in 42 buttons, you can find an excellent mix of funk, jazz excerpts, ska and old rock with a particular smell of a 70's movie soundtrack”.
In proper words of the band, “the aim is that the beautiful bodies and the turgid buttocks of the audience can't stop moving”.
