WESTE’s music poses an idiosyncratic journey between Buenos Aires and Montevideo,
but with a contemporary and global imprint. Exploring the dialogue between different kinds of folklore, electronics and acoustic experimentation their sound seems to elude genre classification all together. Clara Trucco (Argentina) from Fémina and Ignacio Pérez (Uruguay) from Mushi Mushi Orquesta joined forces back in 2011. Since then they have released two albums “Vísceras”
(Guts) in 2015 and “Huestes” (a medieval term used for “troops”) in 2017, produced by Pedro Canale (AKA Chancha Vía Circuito). Their new album drops early 2019.
