    Brighter Than the Sun
21-year-old newcomer Taylor James Eary has always been one to carve his own path. The very nature of being a solo artist at a piano marks him out as someone a bit different.
He was self-taught after he being given a knackered keyboard when he was 15, learning what he could from YouTube. Having hoovered up a myriad of influences, the arena-filling balladry of Coldplay's "Trouble" was the first song he learnt, but he was soon devouring more off-kilter artists to absorb into his work; the jazz stylings of Tom Waits and Chet Faker have been heavy influences in his early writing.
Having been accepted into the hallowed halls of BIMM (George Ezra, James Bay, and Tom Odell being recent alumni), he left after a year: again, forging his own path felt more natural.
2017 saw Taylor playing numerous shows in and around London, including a packed out headline show at The Islington. He also released his first single ‘Moving On’ about which Clash wrote 'Moving On' finds a talent coming into bloom, the tender delivery set against songwriting of rare maturity and impact.
