Post-emo pioneers Frame and Mantle formed in 2014 in northwest Pennsylvania. Influenced by post-rock and emo acts of the late '90s and 2000s, the band wrote and self released the EP 'While Our Fields Lie Fallow' in early 2016.
The band had spent several years staking a claim in the Erie, PA, music scene and toured extensively throughout the northeastern and midwestern US.
After a bit of a hiatus, a move to Pittsburgh and a lineup change, Frame and Mantle regrouped in the fall of 2017 with the intention of writing a full length. The band was inspired to write a timeless sounding record using modern production techniques, so they enlisted Matt Very (Code Orange, Heart Attack Man, Swiss Army) to handle the boards. The resulting album, titled 'Lost Under Nighttime Sky', is one that has been described as "a layered, effective, and ultimately triumphant piece of music" (David Rodriguez, Everything Is Noise).
'Lost Under Nighttime Sky' was released September 13th, 2019, and the band plans to round out the year and enter 2020 by playing as many shows as possible.
