The last few years have seen him go from strength to strength with top charting singles Beatport and Traxsource. His ‘Musicology’ EP on OFF recordings received acclaim from bloggers, DJs and fans alike, with ‘Bring it Back’ track spending seven weeks in the Beatport Deep House top 10 with heavy support from the likes of Pete Tong, Tiesto and Seth Troxler.
A steady stream of releases on labels such as Night Bass, Nurvous, Suara, Simma Black, Enormous, LouLou Records, Milk & Sugar followed alongside collaborations with Destructo & Wax Motif on Night Bass, Sharam Jey & Illusionize on Bunny Tiger and remixing the likes of Basement Jaxx, Yolanda Be Cool, Deadmau5, Marshall Jefferson, Kylie and Moon Boots.
Named as one of Beatport’s Top 10 best selling Nu Disco/Indie Dance Artist for 2014 and for 2015, he’s also found a loyal following on Spotify, where his music regularly hits close to 100k stream every month.
2016 highlights included the dharkfunkh collaboration ‘That’s The Jam’ released on seminal US imprint Nervous, ‘Night Steppin EP on Bunny Tiger and ‘Love Dance feat’ Kellie Love’, an infectiously uplifting house cut on Amine Edge & Dance’s CUFF Recordings. However the crowing achievement of 2016 was ‘The Gee’. Built around an instantly recognizable sax sample, the track shot to the top of the Beatport chart and stayed there for weeks and picking up support from an array of club and radio DJs.
2017 has continued in similarly impressive fashion, with releases such as the Tech House Top 20 track ‘Scandalize’ on Toolroom, ‘Little Pigs’ on Spinnin’ Deep, his latesat collaboration with dharkfunkh on the reverred House imprint Glasgow Underground and a return to Low Steppa’s Simma Black with rising UK producer Carnao Beats.
The next slew of releases for the prolific producer include the follow ups on Spinnin’ Deep ( the ridiculously infectious Juelz Santana sampling ‘Whistle Blower’ ), Club Sweat ( ‘Ghetto Track’ ) and his debut on global powerhouse Heldeep as part of Oliver Heldens’ acclaimed DJ Tools Series.
Touring globally, Vanilla Ace has previously performed in North and South America, Australia, South Africa and India, with bookings including HARD Summer festival in LA, Holy Ship in Miami, Green Valley in Brazil, Ministry of Sound and Egg in London and Chinese Laundry in Sydney, Australia playing alongside the likes of Amine Edge & Dance, Shiba San, Patrick Topping, Low Steppa, Roger Sanchez and Breach
