Lisbon-born, London-based Agon Branza, is an award-winning singer-songwriter and composer whose work is inspired by the contrasting worlds of classical music, confessional songwriting, and avant-garde electronic production. Influenced by his studies of cinema and music for film, Agon creates narrative-structured and harmonically rich chamber pop music. Agon has also released a cycle of 5 piano pieces, “Inner Anthems”, under the name Gonçalo Abrantes. His piano works amount to more than 40k streams and were included on 3 of Nils Frahm's Piano Day playlists. After moving to London, his voice has caught the attention of Manu Delago, with whom Agon Branza later performed with. He has also performed with Nitin Sawhney, Katie Melua, Guy Garvey (Elbow), Rick Astley, Orlando Weeks, Kelly Lee Owens, Another Sky, Eska, Cerys Matthews, Ruby Turner, Alev Lenz, Glen Scott, and the BBC Orchestra.
