Os Resentidos, a seminal Galician rock band of the 1980s, was led by singer, songwriter, poet, and cultural agitator Antón Reixa, and also featured Alberto Torrado (bass), Rubén Losada (sax), and Javier Soto (guitar), the latter replaced in 1985 by Xabier Debesa.
The band was known for its irreverent musical and lyrical approach, a fusion of rock and Galician folk music with a surreal sense of humor and an innovative use of the Galician language in a pop/rock setting. Os Resentidos released seven studio albums, from 1985's Vigo, Capital Lisboa to 1993's Están Aquí, but are mostly remembered for their iconic 1986 hit "Galicia Caníbal." The band called it quits in 1994, only to reunite in 2012 for a 30th anniversary reunion tour and a tribute album. ~ Mariano Prunes, Rovi
