She also received the Indira Sivasailam Endowment Medal in 2013 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan in 2014. In 2013, her song ‘Pi’s Lullaby’ in the movie ‘Life of Pi’ was nominated in the Best Original Song category at the Academy Awards. She was nominated as India’s ambassador for the United States-based Earthday Network in 2017.
