Winter in Saudi
20 year-old singer-songwriter/producer/mix-engineer extraordinaire Wisam Ahmed took the world by storm when he dropped his first song, "Winter in Saudi, " in April 2018.
The world was like, "Wow this shit fire." And then he was like, "Oh you like that, huh? How about this?" and then he dropped "Silhouettes," and the world was like "Damn ya this cool too." Then the world was like, "You got anything else?" and Wisam hit 'em with "Click," "Over It," "Paradise," "Time Machine," and "Litmus Freestyle."
Now, although those songs were received well by the world (folks was bumpin them shits) Wisam still wasn't satisfied. He felt like he could accomplish more with his art, both from a storytelling and production standpoint. He took a brief hiatus in mid 2019 and went back to the drawing board to refine his craft. It was during this period that he crafted standout bangers like 2020 Vision and Dirty. It was also during this period that he enrolled as a freshman at Boston University.
When asked to comment about his experience at BU, Ahmed said, "You know, I actually got a project comin' out about that whole period in my life, so like, I'd rather stay quiet for now." He has no release date planned as of yet but he says he intends to drop the 5 track EP as 5 different singles, breaking from the traditional music industry mold of, "single, single, release." Track 2 from the project, Yipeekiyay has already been released at the time of this report.
