Blending disparate influences such as Caribou, Foals and LCD Soundsystem into a cohesive yet left-of-centre sound, Oxford quartet Low Island have just marked their one year anniversary with a critically acclaimed tour of the UK including two sold out shows at London’s Corsica Studios and further sold out dates in Oxford, Bristol and Manchester.
Their latest single ‘I Know You’ is from their upcoming 2018 EP, to be released this year with a headline show at London’s Scala, April 26th. Since launching they’ve sold out four London shows and played at festivals including Latitude, Reading & Leeds, Kendal Calling and Primavera Club. They’ve made music together their whole lives and write songs about life in your 20s; hope, confusion, love, anxiety and living. It’s music that could’ve only been made via a route of deep bonds, indie bands, DJ residencies, dance music festivals and studios in the wilderness. Best for late night drives.
