Comprised of two founding members Sid&Zac, Mad Panda Formed in 2016. Since, Mad Panda have been writing and recording for two years, believing in the strength of long lived records, with the temptation of potential future shows. Striving to create uniqueness and originality, Mad Panda have influences that stretch the cosmic ranges of musica, and the arts. From 60’s psychedelia to modern Australian Psych-Rock, Mad Panda record and play every instrument on Deeper Shallow and recorded the entirety of the project in Zac’s basement which he calls ‘TheCave’. Deeper Shallow stems from the ideation of growing into adulthood feeling a suffocation of reality under an infinite lip of water, where Blue Smiths-like overtones shape Deeper Shallow as the conceptualisation and infusion of modern British psych-indie grit, worldly psychedelia and the reverberate seas. Deeper Shallow takes a bold delve into the deep waters of sound, into the whirlpool of a ceaseless cycle of the cold and reckless instability that is ours of our youths. And Mad Panda ask still.
"Care to take dip in The Deeper Shallow?"
Mad Panda, after releasing their debut album, have been hard working to release their second album of 2018, which is set to be released 29th November. Entitled ‘The Garden Party’ - the album explores a summery plethora of an intricate experimentation of sound, with vision and depth. Mad Panda, further question what it truly takes to make art in 2018?
