Julian Stetter is a DJ and producer based in Cologne, Germany. His first releases were on favourite labels like PNN, Mireia and Ancient Future Now – ‘Wall’ on AF003 is a beast of a track – before he was included on the 17th iteration of ‘TOTAL’, the famous compilation by Cologne-based mammoth Kompakt.
In 2017, Julian was a resident at the exceptional Daytime Discothèque – set in the rooftop bar of Cologne’s tallest skyscraper – where he had the pleasure of DJing alongside the likes of Mall Grab, Baba Stiltz and RSS Disco. In addition to being a resident DJ in Madrid (Casa Banchel) and Antwerp (C'Sons), other recent highlights have included performing at Dockville (Hamburg), c/o Pop (Cologne), Feel Festival (Brandenburg) and SXSW (Austin). Following his inclusion on Beats In Space super guru Tim Sweeney’s ‘Best of 2017’ compilation, 2018 has seen Julian release his EP ‘Another’ on Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant, bringing him to international attention. Followed by further cooperations with the Parisian imprint and releases on Labels like Permanent Vacation and Kompakt, the tall German (202cm, if you believe it) is currently enjoying positive feedback from some of the industry’s greatest producers: Man Power defined his sound as ‘cinematic and noble’; Jackmaster having no words but ‘wow’; while Pampa’s Ada named him ‘one of the great new talents from Cologne’.
