More likely to riff on Steely Dan deep cuts than shout about the nineties (the first album was 2002, remember?) the White brothers (Alex & Thomas) have been kicking solid-gold nuggets of heroic guitar-pop joy out of the park since they were kids.
They're both in their thirties now (BORN in the thirties!) but don't let that put you off. Since Holes In The Wall the boys have mined a singular seam of very English rock music, each successive album warping a simple formula into ever stranger shapes. With 2013's IDIOTS the brothers came full-circle, reigniting old partnerships and crafting the pop record of a lifetime. The group's as-yet-untitled fifth LP is currently in production.
