Frances Livings is a British born singer, songwriter, poet, producer and author, who has lived in Germany and France and has now been writing and performing in Los Angeles for the last decade.
Her first album The World I Am Livings In was praised as "more a piece of art than it is music". Her recent multi-lingual album Ipanema Lounge, stems from her love of Latin jazz and her fascination for the sounds of different languages.
Frances Livings originally studied art history, earning her a PhD. Her jazz studies (voice and piano), included classes with the prominent German Pop and Jazz singer Roger Cicero.
Frances runs the indie label Moontraxx. She co-produced the album Inventions by the composer and jazz guitarist Greg Porée with whom she also sometimes co-writes. Her spoken word pieces, feature various renowned solo jazz artists, like her EP During the Hours.
