Shane Tutmarc is an American producer, songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist.
Tutmarc was the leader of Seattle band Dolour (1997-2007), before branching off into more rootsy territory with Shane Tutmarc & The Traveling Mercies (2007-2008), and eventually releasing his debut solo album, Shouting at a Silent Sky in 2009. After a decade of solo releases and a number of outside session and road work, Tutmarc reemerged with a new project, Solar Twin with the album Pink Noise in 2017. Recorded mostly by himself in a similar fashion to his earlier Dolour albums, Pink Noise ended up being the pivot album that led Tutmarc full circle to 2020's The Royal We, the first Dolour album in 15 years.
