In 2019 David was awarded several titles including:
Artist of the Year at the Mississauga Music Awards.
The Next Country Music Star Havelock Jamboree Emerging Artist Award
The Country Wild Emerging Artist Award in Cobourg, Ontario
and was the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase Winner
Following his win at the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, David released his debut single "Couldn’t Hurt” co-written with country superstar James Barker, fellow CMAOntario Award winner Aaron Alan and industry veteran Joe Ernewein, with major record label Warner Music Canada.
To date, David has continually earned himself a spot on some of the biggest playlist in country music today and accumulated millions of digital streams worldwide across all platforms.
In 2020 David earned his first CMAOntario Award nomination in the Rising Star category.
2021 is off to a great start with David receiving the iHeart Radio Future Star Award presented by Bell Media.
Most recently DBJ was nominated for Male Artist Of The Year for the 2021 CMA Ontario Country Music Awards.
An album is in the works and expected to be out early summer this year!
