Born and raised in South Carolina, Tyler Clapper is a musician with a personality built for being a performer.
His father taught him how to play guitar and ukulele at a very young age and he spent his younger years listening to artists such as Counting Crows and Dave Matthews Band, kindling his initial spark of interest in being a musician. He spent his early teen years going through a variety of genre’s in an attempt to find his sound, including alternative-rock, indie folk, and punk rock. It was during this time of his life that he met songwriter & producer Noah Taylor, who would become his closest friend and collaborator. Together they spent the following three years shaping the sound of Tyler’s first album, and in the meantime worked together as a duo to write and produce for other artists. This includes Kayshawn’s 2018 debut EP “Wide Eyes”, in which Tyler is a featured artist on the track “Sleeping on my Own.”
