With members hailing from Chile (Rai Mundo, drums), Israel (Ofer Bear, bass), NY (Marc Mosteirin, keyboard) and Puerto Rico (Claudi, vocals, guitar, kalimba; Pele, percussion and backup vocals), Pinc Louds draws influences from such diverse artists as Pixies, Billie Holiday, Os Mutantes, Ismael Rivera and Daniel Johnston. Their songs have the melodic sensibility of a 1920’s crooner mixed with the psychedelic danceability of tropicalia and the bright harmonies of the most delectable doowop records… But in essence, they are a rock band. Gritty, sincere, thrilled to be alive.
In May 2020, Pinc Louds released two singles, "Hopscotch" and "Tiger Song", from their upcoming album. These songs display the band's undying love of doo-wop harmonies, pots-and-pans percussion and catchy melodies, while maintaining the heartbreaking honesty that made subway-riders from all walks of life fall in love with them in the first place.
