Madam CJ has been writing and performing with her live music outfit since 2003. In 2010 and 2013 she opened for Janelle Monae with,Rahbi Raw. She received Grammy consideration for "Best New Artist" for her EP "That's Madam 2 U!" and became a member of the Recording Academy. In 2017, she got a chance to work with Martin Sheen and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the Netflix film, "Come Sunday", the story of Bishop Carlton Pearson. In 2018, she hosted the AfroPunk ATLANTA festival Green Stage. In 2019,she is featured in Killer Mike's Netflix show, "Trigger Warning." She will re-release her house music project, "Juke" with new tracks, in Summer 2020. . Her mission has always been to empower girls and women with her music. This mission and her own uterine fibroid diagnosis has led her to menstrual advocacy.
