Skin Sofa is an Oslo-based pop group that has been playing since 2009 and is on a constant successful mission to get its audience dancing.
Inspired by bands like Blink-182, Weezer and The Wombats, Skin Sofa plays happy music that can dry your tears much faster than any kind of therapy could. The band consists of three musicians: the main dude Tom Fjæraa (vocals, guitar), Tor Ivar Nilsen (bass) and Michael Welzl (drums). All of them are 21 and looking for a serious relationship. They have tons of experience with many different kinds of music, ranging from Reggae and Funk to the kind of Jazz that is meant as background decoration while people eat from a buffet. Simply put, we can do everything, but what we want is to make you dance.
Our mission has included highlights such as the legendary Elm Street Rock Café and Hard Rock Café in our hometown Oslo and gigs in Austria in the summers of 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. We have released three EPs – The Picky Chicken Demo (2011), Isn’t it time? (2012) and Close Your Eyes (2016). Our single Off & On (2014) was played on Little Steven’s Underground Garage Sirius XM radio station.
