Benjamin is also a creative music transcriber, the world's first artist who has arranged complex orchestral pieces and operas for viola, piano or harp, and actor. His most recent work is funded by the French Ministry of Culture in 2019. In this work, he has transcribed the Czech composer Janacek’s masterpiece “The Cunning Little Vixen” into an innovative form for viola, piano and actor, which he defines as a “musical tale.”
Previously, Benjamin served as solo viola at Bayerisches Staatsorchester, and played at Berlin Philharmonic as a scholarship holder of Karajan Academy. Originally from the French Basque Country, Benjamin graduated from the Paris CNSM and the New England Conservatory in Boston, in the class of Kim Kashkashian.
