The Harriets sound features the bright and distinctive vocal harmonies of its two frontmen, and jangly retro-inspired guitar work. The band has played many gigs in its native Yorkshire as well as the International Pop Overthrow Festival in Liverpool's Cavern Club. They also played Bingley Music Live Festival in September this year, alongside acts such as The Manic Street Preachers and the Kaiser Chiefs.
As well as honing their live show gigging, the pair work on regularly releasing self-produced singles, allowing them to give an airing to the more diverse material in their songbook. These have received airplay on BBC Introducing and won funding and support from Help Musician's UK within Higher Rhythm’s Breakthrough programme after being selected by a panel of industry experts. In early 2018 their track 'Television' was played on BBC Radio 6 Music as part of Tom Robinson's mixtape.
