Daniel Crossing is a Cape Town-based independent singer songwriter who loves creating music. His music can be described as explorative adult contemporary, pop rock and crossover.
His passion for music started when, from the age of 6, he used to search for and write the lyrics of well-known songs in his music scrap books. Daniel first released the single "Lights" in 2012, and subsequently released two 7-track EP's, "Between Borders and Angels" in 2013 and "Closer" in 2017. He has a passion for teaching and seeing people grow and develop, that's why he takes pride in investing in developing other local artists such as Whitney Daniels who also features with two tracks "Fly" and "Take My Love" on the Closer album. Daniel is a natural story teller and every country he visits creates a story. For example, Daniel visited Aushwitz in Poland - the German concentration camp where millions of Jews were killed. The sheer enormity of what had happened there spurred him to co-write the haunting song "Selection" with Whitney Daniels who also sings on the track. "Selection" tells the story of a young boy who was sent, unknowingly, to the gas chambers. It's stories like these that makes Daniel write songs and tell people's stories. Visit his website where he also shares poetry and writes a blog. Daniel Crossing performs mostly in South Africa but has also performed in Senegal, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
