Yr Eira exploded our ears with their very first song - the perfect pop song - 'Elin'. Thereafter, released two singles; 'Yr Euog' and 'Ymollwng', released EP 'Colli Cwsg' at the end of 2014 and then two further singles 'Suddo' and 'Walk on Water' at the end of 2015.
The band was chosen to be a part of the BBC Horizons project in 2015, with highlights including a gig at T in the Park, a recording session at the legendary Maida Vale studios and started to headline their own shows.
Since 2016, Yr Eira have been busy working on material for their first album. The band decided to work with different producers, including Claudius Mittendorfer (Temples / Johnny Mar), Llyr Parri (Studio Glanllyn), Kev Jones (Studio Crychddwr), Steffan Pringle, and the Candelas lads (Studio Drwm).
They released the long awaited single 'Dros Y Bont' in May 2017 as a preview to the new album 'Toddi' (meaning Melting) which was released in the summer of 2017.
There is an unforced magic to Toddi which suggests Yr Eira have arrived at a point of significance - as a conscious echo of what has been said elsewhere what they do next will matter; build on this and they are headed somewhere vital.
