Nena Daconte is Mai Meneses’s musical project. After her fleeting career in OT (talent tv show), she is one of the first musical enterprising to self-edit her first album, He Perdido Los Zapatos, in 2005, with the assistance of her manager, Raul Marin, who incorporates the then Mai’s partner, Kim Fanlo, into the project.
In spite of all the compositions are by Meneses, Nena Daconte becomes a duet, and Universal works with her label. It rerelease the debut and the attractive single Idiota becomes a hymn; enlarged success with En Qué Estrella Estará, and Nena Daconte becomes stand-out artist in 2007. A year later, release her second album Retales De Carnaval, and the mega hit Tenía Tanto Que Darte, not just reaches expectations, but it gets something then unthinkable in Spain, like combine commercial and indie music. Drowned in recognitions, tours and a crushing success, Nena Daconte leaves Barcelona, her office and ceases being a duet. With a new direction from Universal, publishes Una Mosca En El Cristal followed by the fourth album Sólo Muerdo Por Ti, in 2013, and the first single, Disparé, that reaches a remarkable success in spite of Mai -newly started as a mother- dedicates herself to family life and other creative works. Now in 2018, after five years of silence, Nena Daconte publishes her 5th titled Suerte
