Caterina Barontini is a young pianist, composer and songwriter. As a pianist she is giving concerts as a soloist, in duo with her father @Ilio Barontini and in various ensembles.
Winner of many Italian fellowships and international competitions, after completing her Bachelor's Degree in Piano in 2013 with the guidance of her father, in 2015 she got a Master's Degree in Piano with full marks, honours and mention with Maestro Daniel Rivera at the "Pietro Mascagni" Superior Institute of Musical Studies in Livorno (Tuscany, Italy). Recently she has recorded her father's works, in duo with him (for the label Sifare Publishing, Rome, 2017-2018): firstly, Back to Beat part one and two, for two pianos (recorded live in Teatro Goldoni, Livorno) and finally his pieces for piano four hands (Bartókiana; Five Nursery Rhymes; Little Suite & Gershwiniana). As a soloist, she has recorded a collection of Sonatas of the 18th Century (The Heart Sonatas in the Italian 18th Century) and a 100-track library to take the listener on a journey through the history of piano music, from the 18th Century to Contemporary Piano, organized in several thematic compilations. She is the Assistant Director at Sifare Classical.
In 2019-2020 she is planning a tour through Europe, UK and USA, to present her upcoming album Shades of Love, for piano and string orchestra.
