My uncle taught me to play piano when I was 5. I didn’t really soak it in, but when I was 14, I realized girls pay more attention to a guy with a guitar, so I learned that. The uncle that taught me piano is blind, so an instrument didn’t have to LOOK cool for him to realize the depth of expression available in it.
Years later, I rediscovered my love for piano and started a band. At first I said it’s as innovative as velcro, sliced bread, and microwaves all combined, but really, we all just aim to make music we’d like if we were still 16, jamming out in our parent’s basement.
If you like quirky, indie, piano-rock, you’ve come to the right place. Dig in.
