Technicolour Ghost is the first album by Hyde Out, a duo from London, UK. The album is an eclectic collection of songs written and recorded between 2014 and 2018.
The album was recorded primarily at night time at their own Hyde Out studio, as well as other small London studios. The 13 original songs are largely inspired by the music the band members grew up with: they include 90’s-inspired acoustic tunes like "Nights" and "Bring on”, and moody ballads like "Rain" and "Fluent in Silence". There’s also a bit of British-style pop rock in "Hollow”, “Open Chain" and “Over This", and a louder retro-rock slant in "Passer-by", "Times" and “Speed Up”. Add a bit of synth pop into the mix (ad in “Where do we go from here” for example) and traces of psychedelic folk (as in “Talk to me") and you have a rather eclectic mixed bag of musical fun!
