His surroundings are reflected in his artisanal yet modern indie pop songs, which echo both the peace and quiet of his life amongst the pigs and sheep, and the restlessness of the city. His sincere music and voice are reminiscent of artists like James Bay, Hozier and Dermot Kennedy.
After his debut EP “Up” and a number of notable live shows, including supports for The Paper Kites, John Butler Trio, Harry Styles and Hozier, he got his big break in late 2018, when his critically acclaimed single “Walking On A Wire” received major airplay on national radio, was elected TopSong on Radio 2, and was streamed over 4 million times on Spotify alone. On 4 October 2019 (World Animal Day) Tim Dawn's new EP “I’ll Hold On” was released live on national radio amongst his animals.
In the end, he never became a lawyer. But he surely did himself justice.
