Melantopia and LA native Juliet Piper have recorded an album together named "Neon Dreamland".
The album will be released October 30th. The Dirty Devil River and Dark Canyon albums are out and streaming everywhere, inspired by deserts and canyons of the remote areas of Southern Utah. Melantopia had 4 tunes from the Norwegian Summers album featured in the NRK slow tv show, Svalbard Minutt for Minutt, which aired on NRK in Norway for 9 continuous days, starting January 31st 2020. This is the longest continuous slow tv airing to date. Melantopia is Norwegian composer and music producer Jarl Aanestad. Melantopia creates music inspired by outdoors adventures around the world, backpacking, climbing and canyoneering in the mountains and deserts, off the beaten path and often off trail. Melantopia is hoping to bring some of those experiences to the listener through his music. Melantopia has also been involved in writing and producing music with Highasakite, Karpe (former Karpe Diem), Tove Lo, Troye Sivan, Delacey, Morten Abel, Joddski, Lucy Cloud and many more.
