After playing numerous local shows in and around Essex and building a local following the band released their debut double A side single Queen Bitch in June 2016 through small independent label Regent Street Records. The band released Don't Give the People What They Want in January 2017 with the title track making it's radio debut on BBC Radio 6 by DJ Steve Lamacq who described as "2 minutes of anti-establishment punk". Following this release the band went on a DIY Tour, sofa surfing their way around the UK culminating with festival appearances at Camden Rocks Festival 2017 and more. The Muffin Heads have further cemented their place in the UK underground scene by supporting the likes of Svetlanas, 999, Discharge, Wonk Unit and Menace as well as playing two more Camden Rocks Festivals (2018 & 2019) and Rebellion Punk Music Festival 2019. The band exported their noise to Germany in 2019, playing a short string of dates in some of mainland Europe's most iconic small venues.
With touring plans and festival appearances for 2020 interrupted, The Muffin Heads have focused on the release of their new EP which was recorded in the early part of the year.
