In March 2018, their second EP, Gone From Sight And Never Back was released. Featuring "five more songs about death, loss, and hope", it was recorded and produced entirely by Harry. Dissatisfied with the first EP and going through a strange grieving period, Harry set out to create an EP that "felt more true. Something to help me figure out what was going on at that time". The result includes songs about friends, phone calls, plans that never came to fruition. "I had lost someone that I had really never gotten to know properly. And before I could even look for answers, they were gone. It was just strange to me, I didn't know know what to feel. I don't think it will ever make sense to me, but there's something about documenting it in the music. It's just that typical artist thing to do."
In May 2018, Harry announced a new music project titled 'Glowing Brightly', placing Great Ghosts on non-permanent hiatus.
