Colombian singer-songwriter Kike Barrios was born in Bogotá but grew up in the coastal city of Cartagena.
Kike Barrios mixes tropical rhythms with urban music, fusing genres such as rock with acoustic elements of the Caribbean. He began composing from an early age, writing poems that would later become the lyrics of his first songs. His inspirations at that time were artists such as: Carlos Vives, Alejandro Sanz, Diego Torres, among others. At the age of 17 he formed his first band, a group of Spanish Rock called Zur. That was when he had his first encounter with the stage and realized that music was his passion. When he graduated from high school, he decided to pursue music full time as a professional career. Kike auditioned for season 10 of the show Tengo Talento Mucho Talento on Estrella TV, where he received praise from judges Ana Barbara, Pepe Garza and Don Cheto. He quickly advanced in the competition week after week until he reached the end of the competition as one of the top finalists. Kike became the only participant to date from the Tampa Bay area to make it as a finalist. Although he did not win, he cites this experience as a powerful influence in his life, both personal and professional. In 2016, Kike released his first album Sin Limites, receiving praise from the press. The album was pre-nominated for the Latin Grammys in 2017. At the end of 2017, Kike released “Eres Tu” the first single from his new project, encountering great response from his fans.
