Glass Animals are a British four-piece led by singer, songwriter and producer Dave Bayley with his bandmates and childhood friends Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer, and Drew MacFarlane.
In 2014, the band released their debut album, ZABA. Spotify noticed their rising potential, with the (now platinum) single ‘Gooey’ landing a top 2 spot on their global and UK viral charts at the end of the year. Having built up a devoted cult following by touring their debut solidly for two and a half years, their second album, ‘How To Be A Human Being’ catapulted Glass Animals into the mainstream consciousness.
Bayley wrote and self-produced both albums and, for HTBAHB, won two gongs at the 2018 MPG awards for ‘UK Album of the Year’ and ‘Self Producing Artist of the year’ and earned the band a spot on the Mercury Prize shortlist. Outside of his work for Glass Animals he has written and produced for a number of artists including 6lack, Khalid, Joey Bada$$, Wale and Flume.
The band have become renowned for their wild, and immersive live show, playing re-worked, dance-heavy versions of their songs. They have performed on international TV shows including late night shows with Jools Holland, James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel. They have played sold out shows around the world including Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks, Brixton Academy and more. They have also played key slots at international festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Latitude, Reading and Leeds, Falls and more.
