In 2015, she captured the attention of local audiences with her left-of-field pop debut, ‘Ascension’ released through Dub Temple Records. May made her solo return in 2016 with a new single, ‘Escape’. Her innovative work allowed her to participate in Brisbane City Council’s ‘QUBE Effect’ artist development program. Not one to shy away from experimentation and provocative storytelling, May shared a politically charged single, ‘Soldiers’ which gained her a spot in Unearthed’s NIDA competition in mid-2017.
Keeping up with the momentum from early 2017, May released her critically acclaimed sophomore EP, ‘Vessels’ in July - a solo endeavor created in her home studio. The EP has received international airplay and was named one of the best releases of 2017 by Purple Sneakers. On top of that, ‘Soldiers’ received a nomination for ‘Best Electronic Track’ at 2018’s QLD Music Awards.
