Raw songwriting, dreamy melodies, and soulful vocals come together in Niki Colet’s folk-inspired indie-pop music.
Often drawing comparisons to Lana Del Rey, Joni Mitchell, Mitski, and Jeff Buckley, Niki writes earnest, heartfelt lyrics, and delivers them with a uniquely haunting voice. Her love for movies and literature feeds her storytelling - often tinged with a sense of nostalgia, crystallizing even the simplest of moments into song form.
The singer-songwriter from Manila wrote her first song at the age of ten and has been continuing to make music since. Listeners have described the experience of listening to her music as akin to looking at an old photograph, like living in a memory where there are fuzzy edges, but the important details remain vibrant.
She released her first EP in 2014, launching her career as an solo artist in the Manila indie music scene. She has also played for various music productions, as well as events for Accenture, AIESEC, Fujifilm, and Warehouse 8. In the past year, Niki guested for both student and national radio. Her song “High School Crush” was featured on an episode of the TV5 series, "Forever Sucks," starring Jasmine Curtis-Smith. She performs at gigs regularly. Her debut single, "You Still Show Up in My Dreams," was released on March 22, 2018. The long-awaited Endless Summer EP is out on all digital platforms on May 31, 2018.
