With an uncompromising energy and stage-presence Mama Sonic, despite coming from disparate musical backgrounds, have developed a style of their own.
The band formed standing in line to their favourite club, Baba Sonic, the final night before it closed down. Being the epicentre for young people of similar interests, they chose the name Mama Sonic to attract the attention of said group.
Their unorthodox live concerts are always introduced with giggle inducing poetry by the bands in-house poet Jonathan Brott, promising something new every time. Having been called “the new indie hope of Stockholm” Mama Sonic has swept over Scandinavia with an unmistakable sound that is impossible not to move to.
The band released their debut album ‘Mama Sonic’ in October 2019 with help from their friend and producer Charlie Falk. For the first time with fast and slow songs that goes from pop, rock, “country” and velvet undergroundesque ballads. Surely you don’t wanna miss out on hearing this.
