The band’s ethereal 2017 debut, Persistence of Memory was tracked in Italy at Real Sound Studios and mastered by Cult Of Luna's Magnus Lindberg. Released via WormHoleDeath ( Words That Burn, The way of Purity), It gained considerable praise, including from Zero Tolerance Magazine, who summed it up as having “too much awesomeness to mention”. In the live shows that followed, Final Coil shared stages with acts such as Focus, Ohhms, Boss Keloid, playing energetic sets at HRH Metal 2019 and Fusion - Music Without Boundaries. Frontman Phil also collaborated with the legendary Glass Hammer on the acclaimed 'Chronomonaut' and The way of Purity on their forthcoming album.
The 2019 follow-up, The World We Left Behind for Others, was also released via WHD and has gained even greater praise, the ever-supportive Zero Tolerance describing it as "an utterly immersive album". Darker, heavier and with a greater emphasis on narrative, The World We Left Behind for Others promises to take the listener on a vibrant journey and is the band's most ambitious work to date.
