The Powell Brothers is a Country/Rock recording artist from Houston, Texas. The power trio is fronted by brothers Taylor Powell (lead vocals, guitar, bass) and Blake Powell (vocals, bass, guitar) with Mike Bishop Smith (drums).
On January 20, 2021, the group released “Twenty Twenty," a 5 track EP featuring the hit song "How It's Done." The EP is a pulse pounding, strap on your seatbelt, addictive musical elixir blending elements of County and Rock in a unique way that is unmistakably The Powell Brothers.
The group tours nationally, touring an average of 160 dates across 22 states every year. Highlights include performances at Game #1 of the 2019 MLB World Series, National Finals Rodeo, Oregon Jamboree, Fremont Street Experience, Sweet Pea Festival, Oyster Ridge Music Festival, State Fair of Texas - Chevy Main Stage, Ziegenbock Music Festival and Merchants & Music Festival.
The Powell Brothers have provided direct support to top country acts including, Lee Brice, Brothers Osborne, Billy Currington, Josh Turner, Cody Johnson, Big & Rich, Gary Allan, Granger Smith & Eli Young Band
Taylor & Blake Powell have many interests outside of music, including sports. The full band has performed pre-game shows for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, Valero Alamo Bowl, and Las Vegas Bowl and the brothers sang our National Anthem for the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres & Texas Rangers.
