Psych-garage messy noise from the heart of Leeds.
Brooders is a kicking screaming trio of hard hitting fuzzed up riffs fuelled by pounding ear shattering drums. The band is formed of Adam Bairstow (guitar/vocals), Adam Speare (bass) and Liam Naylor (drums/backing vocals).
Formed in 2016 Brooders have gained a reputation for their eccentric live presence and consistently heavy releases, constantly amping up the levels of fuzz, dirt and damage with every release. Brooders kicked off 2020 with their second instalment of their festival RIFFFEST in Leeds following on from six single releases last year through Help Musicians UK's Do It Differently fund.
Brooders are geared up for the future with heavier riffs, darker overtones and a wealth of road wear and tear that just won't come out in the wash.
‘one of the most exciting bands to emerge from that scene, with their pell-mell assault of fuzzed up guitars and killer tunes.’ // THE CRACK
‘Daring, dangerous and dirty in places' // REBEL CULTURE
'Brooders float around your ears and head before going for broke and attacking the central nervous system.’ // THE SKINNY
'jagged and hypnotic' // UPSET
“lo-fi fuzz and fury, the kind of stuff that gets sweat dripping from club walls; a noise that makes halfway between Washington State and the desert a great place to break down …” NARC MAGAZINE
