Born Chris Greenwood, Christian rapper Manafest kicked off his career with a rap-rock sound, but later he changed gears and returned with a more traditional hip-hop style.
Born and raised in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, Manafest made his debut in 2003 with the album My Own Thing. Glory followed in 2007 while The Chase arrived in 2010. The Fighter landed in 2012, introducing Manafest's more-rap, less-rock sound. The Moment followed in 2014 with Manafest now firmly in the category of hip-hop. The same year saw the release of the single "Let's Go," featuring Dave Stovall of Wavorly, followed in 2015 by his entirely crowd-funded eighth studio album, Reborn. In 2017 he released Stones, which marked a return to the more rock-oriented style of his earlier offerings. A companion remix album, Stones Reloaded, followed a year later. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
