Marc Pendzich, composer with a PhD in musicology, volunteering as a climate activist, presents his first grand work “Borchert” for vocals and small orchestra (with lyrics of Wolfgang Borchert) in the context of the festival “grund..sätze” in Esslingen/Germany in 1999.
2008 his music for a play called “Tita und Leo – Ferien zwischen den Jahrhunderten” enters the stage of the Theaterfabrik Hamburg. Through musically portraying poets such as May Ayim, Paul Boldt und Selma Merbaum, Marc Pendzich’s compositions are timeless, open, fragile, quiet, intense – unique to Pendzich is the transformation of smallest musical elements into complex structures: MinimalPop.
