Music has always been a part of his life. After getting his first guitar for his eighth birthday, Christonia gravitated towards the musical programs in school, actively participating in the orchestra from ages 11 to 16. While classical music has played a big role in his life, he cites Young Thug, Future, XXXTENTACION, Drake, Gucci Mane, and Kanye West as notable artists that have shaped his sound into what it is today.
Christonia meshes the ferocity of hip hop with the sensitive stylings of R&B to come up with something that is equal parts raw and honest. In his own words, he has created his own genre of music which he calls “Alternative Hip-Pop”. Above all, his music serves as a vehicle for which he expresses what everyone else is afraid to say -- his songs much like a diary, a ritual-like experience that gives him an avenue to purge past experiences, and pave the way to new ones. Through this process, he hopes to connect with others who are walking down a similar path, letting them know that they aren’t alone in this world.
