Postcards is a dream pop/indie rock band formed in Beirut (Lebanon) by four friends in the summer of 2012: Julia Sabra, Marwan Tohme, Pascal Semerdjian and Rany Bechara.
They will be releasing their first full-length, “I’ll be here in the morning”, in January of 2018, produced by Fadi Tabbal of Tunefork Studios. The record’s new sound is defined by hushed, introspective vocals floating over expansive sonic spaces shifting between harsh noise and dreamy soundscapes. Since 2014, Postcards have been regularly touring Europe, the UK and the Middle East. They also opened for Beirut (2014) and Angus and Julia Stone (2015).
The band started off by playing the pub circuit across Beirut, performing a varied repertoire of both English and American folk-rock music. They have previously released 2 EPs, both also produced by Tabbal: the pop folk ‘Lakehouse’ (2013) and more dreamy ‘What Lies So Still’ (2015) to positive reviews.
