Promani recorded their first EP Dining together in a practice space near Atwater Village. Finally, the trio added Chase Cook, a former band mate of theirs from the Bay Area, on guitar to complete their next two EPs “Outside” (2018) And “Sprawl” (2019).
Their garage rock sound has morphed over time to experimenting with shoegaze, ethereal and gauzy vocals and distorted, reverb laden guitar melodies. In 2019, the group added Scott Leahy, who has toured with Jerome’s Dream, Sea Wolf, and 1 AM Radio on guitar, drums and vocals. With influences from Yo La Tengo, Cocteau Twins and Interpol, the Los Angeles band has built their own signature interpretation of nostalgic alternative rock.
