San Jerónimo songs were born in 2015 in a room and, following the same premise, they were recorded in another one.
Nacho Iglesias and María Mieres recorded at home, on their own, seven songs with the aid of Raúl Burrueco (Combray, Tannhauser) who produced and mixed them from Barcelona.
“Salinas, 20:15” (Wearewolves Records, 2016) is the debut of the Asturians and their intimate music draws ambient and dreampop landscapes of minimalist ornamentations on the style of Red House Painters, Galaxie 500 or Mazzy Star.
In 2017 they recorded in Seville their second album “El Sur” at Seventh Studios, leaded by Jose A. Pérez (I am Dive) who mixed and produced the work. In this new album they plunge themselves into electronic, downtempo and neo-soul fields, without forgetting the melancholy and blurry ambiences of “Salinas, 20:15”. References as Beach House, Rhye or Wild Nothing spring to mind while listening to “Mapas Infinitos” or “El verano era ella”, the new singles of this new record (Wearewolves Records, 2018).
