Spanish pianist Daniel García has been a key member of the new generation of Spanish Jazz for the last decade.
His eclectic and wide open musical mind, alongside his clear and lyrical pianism has made him one of the most in demand artists in Spanish creative jazz scene, both as pianist and producer.
Deeply rooted and trained in different musical genres since childhood, Daniel García finds himself at home in jazz, flamenco and spanish folk, classical, rock or electronic music. The work with his trio, alongside cuban artists Reinier "El Negrón" on bass and Michael Olivera on drums, has raised flamenco jazz to a new creative milestone, where true spanish folkloric music, contemporary jazz and even classical music intertwine in a seamless way so the line between all those styles becomes blurred.
After the musical tour-de-force that supposed "Alba", his first release as a solo artist in 2015, and the much more lyrical and conceptual journey of his second album "Samsara" in 2018, Daniel García has been the first Spanish Jazz artist to sign a contract with German acclaimed label ACT. Out of this union came TRAVESURAS in 2019, a worldwide acclaimed album, followed by an extensive tour all over Europe. This album shows the trio at its best, showing a rare musical empathy between the three musicians that results in a sometimes joyful, sometimes thoughtful journey across Daniel´s deeply personal musical universe.
