Le Big Zero started as the home recording project of Michael Pasuit. Jumps from New Jersey to Seattle and back east to Brooklyn, where the band now hails, brought together a line-up with close friends Carolina Aguilar and Dylan Thurston for the recording of their debut album "Ollie Oxen Free." Thom Cote joined shortly thereafter on bass.
The album combines intricate, off-kilter guitar work with pop melodies and a punk-y, garage rock attitude. Their boy-girl harmony provides a contrast off-setting angular approach. Especially with their dark-yet-playful "woe-is-me" lyrics.
The band now includes Tim Pinkerton on drums and Ben Ross on bass.
“Ollie Oxen Free" was released on September 6, 2019.
